My long search for a bespoke framing company to print, mount and frame the images I take was complete after I found Daniel at MP Fine Art Printing.

I looked at many framing company’s websites that has been recommended.

The decision was made for me when I read about the quality of the prints, this company’s dedication to the environment, the choice of frames and I have to say I loved the unique office too which is The Old Ticket Office at Culham Station.

After visiting the office and meeting Daniel who is an expert printer and framer, my choice was confirmed. This company is perfect to compliment my portraits for my clients.

I took a print to the office as requested by Daniel to look at and discuss the type of portraits that I take. We made a decision on the best papers for my work as seen below.

Daniel uses digital giclee prints which can last over 100 years under optimum conditions whereas most traditional photographic prints will degrade considerably after 20 years.

Mounting and glazing prints

All prints are supplied with a certificate of authenticity and all materials and techniques are archival. Acid free mounts are used.

The highest quality fine art pigment, giclee, & photographic prints are offered using the finest archival papers used by artists, photographers, galleries and museums.

Mp Fine Art Cotton Rag

This is an acid free matte paper. White 100% cotton paper with a light textured surface. The highest quality paper for the finest reproductions or photographic prints. This paper has the largest colour gamut and highest D-Max of any of the matte papers. Rich smooth tones and faithful vibrant colour reproduction are this papers hallmark.

I also have a second choice for some clients who may want something more sparkly.

Titanium Lustre Resin Coated

A Titanium Lustre which has a beautiful pronounced textured lustre finish on a heavyweight silver resin coated base. The metallic effect is not produced via a coating, the paper itself is mettalic and this adds incredible definition and tonal range that will make photographic images sparkle.

Bespoke Picture & Photo Framing

We offer a range of mounting and framing options using acid free mountboards, tapes and archival techniques.

We are able to supply the full range of Artglass by Groglass including AR70 Anti Reflective glass with a 70% UV protection. This is truly an invisible glass.

The Frames

The frames that we have picked for you are all FSC approved using conservation materials and methods and are a very classy which will compliment the portraits perfectly.

The frame is 20 mm wide & 35 mm deep solid pine (usually pine) painted in Black, White, Grey or Brown. They also come in solid oak too.

An Eco Friendly Company

Another reason and a big reason for loving this company is because they are very green

Every exhibition they produce, they will donate money to plant and care for native trees with the Woodland Trust. The office is powered by 100% Renewable Energy. LED bulbs are used for lighting. They supplement the renewable energy by using portable solar panels to charge phones and other mobile devices and their website also runs via renewable energy.

The cotton paper is 100% cotton. According to the manufacturer the part of the cotton plant used is cotton linters. This is what’s left on the cotton seed after it’s been harvested for the textile industry. The textile industry shave the cotton seed once or twice  to get what they want and whats left on the seed is the linters. These fibres are too small for textile use but perfect for paper. The mountboard we have chosen is cotton too

The picture framing equipment is all mechanical and uses 100% human power but 0% electricity and a tight water usage water policy is also used.

All of their packaging can be recycled including the packaging tape. They try to reuse as much packaging as they can before they recycle it. Boxes and bubble wrap will always be re-used at least once so customers will always receive re-used packaging. This cuts our packaging use by 50% and they encourage all of their customers to do the same.
