NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY

The newborn stage is not here for long and the best time to capture this precious stage in your babies life is anytime before baby reach 14 days old.

However I have documented 5-6 week old babies and still been able to capture those newborn portraits. Allow me to provide you with a relaxing experience as you visit my studio in Purley on Thames.  

You can relax, put your feet up, have a cup of tea and enjoy some much needed and well earned rest whilst watching me photograph your brand new baby.  You will receive images to cherish forever.

When should I book?

Newborn babies ideally need to be photographed under two weeks old to get the type of images you see on this website.  I like to photograph baby at one week if this is possible.  After two weeks of age babies can be harder to settle and baby spots and colic can happen however we may be able to photograph at three weeks.  Please feel free to contact me anytime during your pregnancy, , you can even contact me as soon as you have had your scan and I can pencil a date in based on your due date. Then once you have had baby you can get ask your partner to contact me if you are in hospital or send me a quick email yourself when you are home & we can arrange the best day for your newborn photo session.

Preparing for your session

If you have these packed in your bag that would be great.  I do have nappies, wipes, hand sanitizer, dry sheets, spare materials etc just in case.  I will also send a detailed email preparing you completely once your session has been booked into the diary.

Nappies, Baby Milk, Any Favourite blankets, Muslins, A change of clothes for baby

A change of clothes for mummy and daddy just incase baby has a little accident whilst being held during the photo shoot.

It also a good idea to being some bottled water as it gets hot during the sessions and a snack

An ipad or reading material as you may be waiting for sometime for baby to fall asleep

After we have booked your newborn session you will receive an email with lots of information on that will prepare you for your newborn session.

Can we have our newborn photo session at home?

Most sessions are held at my home based studio in Purley but It can be very hard getting organised and getting out in the early days after having baby and difficult for a new mum to travel to me which I understand.  I have limited sessions available where I can come to you. 

Once we have booked your newborn session in the diary I will send you out some information to help organise baby for the session.

How long does the session last?

For newborn sessions I ask you to arrive as close to 10am as you can.  Newborn sessions can last 2-3 hours which allows time for feeding and getting baby comfortable.

When can we view the images?

We will schedule an ordering appointment before your your portrait session or on the day of your portrait session so do bring your diary. 

 Ordering appointment? 

Around one week after your session, you will come to the studio to view your portraits and decide what you would like to purchase. 

We will schedule your ordering appointment at the same time that we book in your portrait session or on the day of your portrait session.

Only one ordering session per day is booked in, so you will have plenty of time and guidance to make great decisions. All parties who need to make the purchasing decision should attend together. There is no charge for the first portrait ordering session, but any further appointments will incur a charge. 

Full payment is taken at the ordering appointment by either cheque, cash, card or bank transfer, your order will be processed and you will have your products with you within 2-6 weeks depending on what you have ordered. All sales are final. 

How do we order?

I accept cards, cheques, cash and bank transfer.  Payment is taken at the ordering appointment.

How much do most clients spend?

Most newborn clients spend between £497- £997. Please get in contact to request a product guide.

Tina Cleary Photography reserves the right to use any image in any form such as, but not limited to, the use in advertising, reproduction, and copyright. Tina Cleary Photography owns all copy and reproduction right, even those that you purchase.  Client agrees to not reproduce, copy or scan any images taken by Tina Cleary Photography this is strictly prohibited.  Print-screening images from this website is against the law. Prices are subject to change without notice.
